Smith Pachter McWhorter PLC is pleased to announce that Jonathan K. Keller has joined the firm as an associate attorney focusing his practice on white collar, government contracts and construction law. Prior to joining SPM, Mr. Keller served as a legal consultant for the firm working on several cross-border matters, including the firm’s mandate as U.S. counsel to the Independent Investigation Committee commissioned by the Board of Directors of Vale, S.A., to investigate the Brumadinho tailings dam breach.
Mr. Keller is a graduate of the American University Washington College of Law and holds a B.A. in Philosophy from New York University. He has served as research assistant to the Honorable Judge Peter J. Messitte of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland as a Dean’s Fellow for the Brazil-U.S. Legal & Judicial Studies Program. Mr. Keller is a citizen of the United States, Brazil, and Germany. He was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, is fluent in Portuguese, and is proficient in German and Spanish. He is member of the Virginia Bar.
