ENR recently published an article in its Law & Risk Management Today I April 2020 issue on the Department of Defense (DoD) changes for its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program by Smith Pachter McWhorter attorneys Elizabeth N. Jochum and Zachary D. Prince.
The article "Dept. of Defense Changes for Cyberattack Certification" presents an overview of the recently released DoD version 1.0 of the CMMC program specifying five certification levels and new compliance requirements for contractors ranging from basic to advanced security practices. While the initial CMMC implementation only applies to DoD contracts, other public agencies may roll out similar requirements.
