Discussion on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act at the 2017 Women, Influence & Power in Law conference, held in Washington, D.C.

On October 11, 2017, SPM Member Iris E. Bennett, with co-panelists Patricia Byrne, Vice President & Associate General Counsel, International Compliance, BAE Systems, Inc., Rochelle (“Shelly”) Cooper, Corporate Counsel, Northrup Grumman Corporation, and Nancy McCready Higgins, Vice President & Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, Bechtel Group, Inc., will lead a panel discussion on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act at the 2017 Women, Influence & Power in Law conference, held in Washington, D.C.  The WIPL annual conference brings together women corporate counsel, outside counsel, and public sector attorneys who are in leadership positions at their companies, firms, and agencies, to discuss critical legal issues in corporate law and compliance, and to provide a forum for these leaders in the legal community to share their expertise.

The panel led by Ms.Byrne, Ms. Cooper, and Ms. Higgins, and moderated by Ms. Bennett, will focus on recent developments in FCPA compliance guidance and enforcement trends, and best practices in the prevention, detection and remediation of FCPA issues.
